Our Direction.

Bradley Emerson brings more than four decades of experience in banking, education and strategic leadership, including board roles in the public and private sectors.

His career includes serving as Chairman of People’s Insurance PLC, Head of Public–Private Partnerships at the Ministry of Finance, Regional Director for CIMA (UK) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Pan Asia Bank. He has also served in non-executive and independent non-executive board roles.

He holds an MBA from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA (UK), and is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka. He is also pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration.

Kanakasingam Suganthon founded the edible oil trading business in 2001 and has led its development into refining, manufacturing and the supply of bakery ingredients.

With more than two decades of hands-on experience in the edible oil industry, he brings knowledge of production processes and market requirements to the company’s direction. His connection to Jaffna has shaped the development of the manufacturing facility in Northern Sri Lanka.

His approach emphasises product quality, local resources and sustainable operations, including green energy. He has received an honorary doctorate from UK Digital University and industry recognition in 2025. The Asia Miracle and SLCBC awards are presented in more detail on the Our Story page.

Rizvi Mowlana brings more than four decades of experience in sales, marketing, fast-moving consumer goods and food packaging. He joined Venkadeshwara in 2025.

His previous leadership roles include National Sales Manager at Lee Hedges PLC and Chief Operating Officer at Diamond Best Foods. He also serves as a Director of Maharaja Foods PLC.

His experience spans marketing strategy, brand development and operational management. At Venkadeshwara, this background supports the company’s sales and marketing direction and its relationships across food industry markets.

R. Suresh is a Principal at Gajma & Co., Chartered Accountants, with extensive experience in taxation, tax implementation and dispute resolution.

His work includes handling tax matters with the Department of Inland Revenue through settlements and appeals. He is an Associate Member of CA Sri Lanka and CIMA (UK), and holds membership of CGMA. He also participates in the CA Tax-Technical Forum.

He has lectured for CIMA, CA Sri Lanka and AAT, and presented on budget proposals and tax reforms. He is a founder member and former Secretary–Treasurer of BNI Sri Lanka’s Benchmark Chapter. His interests include participation in national-ranking badminton tournaments and four BNI Sri Lanka badminton championships.

Manjula Priyadarshana brings leadership experience across FMCG, renewable energy and export business development, with a background in finance and business transformation.

He has served as Country Head and Executive Director at Nature’s Wellness and as Group Chief Executive Officer of NMK Holdings. His experience includes team development, revenue growth and managing local operations through economic challenges.

He is an Associate Chartered Member of CIMA, holds an MBA and is a Certified Supply Chain Professional. He also achieved a prize-winning performance in CIMA’s Business Strategy subject. These qualifications complement his experience in financial management, supply chains and operational development.
